After My Wife Died, My Son Tried to Steal My Land—When I Refused, He Trapped Me Inside My Own Home

For a moment, it felt as though the ground had shifted beneath my feet.

This was not an accident.

It was not a misunderstanding.

My own son had deliberately blocked the only road from my home.

“What are you doing, Michael?” I asked. My voice came out barely above a whisper. “What is this?”

He laughed as though the answer should have been obvious.

“I’m giving you an incentive.”

“An incentive?”

“You wouldn’t listen to reason. You refused every offer I made. So now I’m giving you a choice.”

He reached inside his suit jacket.

“You sign the property over to me today, or the truck stays exactly where it is.”

I stared at him.

“You can’t be serious.”

“I’ve never been more serious.”

“You blocked me inside my own property.”

“You can walk around your yard all you want.”

“You know what I mean.”
