—Shut up! —he roared—. This is all your fault. You asked for jewelry, trips, money, a position. You pressed.
Valeria let out a broken laugh.
—My fault? You promised me that your wife was useless. You said you had already bought the Council. You swore you were going to leave her with nothing.
Rodrigo advanced towards her, desperate, but security stopped him before he could touch her. Valeria continued screaming as they took her down the hallway.
—You used me! You said everything would be ours!
The elevator doors closed and his voice disappeared.
The vote was unanimous.
Rodrigo was suspended for cause. Their accesses were blocked. Your frozen corporate accounts. Valeria was reported for assault, document falsification and participation in diversion of resources. The front agencies were under investigation and the contracts were annulled that same week.
