MY HUSBAND TOOK HIS MISTRESS TO THE GALA AND LEFT ME WASHING DISHES

“That is not true.”

Julian removed another document.

“Your signature appears on the transfer.”

Mavis stopped.

Agent Mercer approached her.

“Mrs. Holloway, you are not under arrest tonight. But you are required to remain available for questioning.”

Grant turned back to me.

“Seraphina, whatever happened between our parents has nothing to do with us.”

I looked at Delaney’s hand resting protectively over my grandmother’s necklace.

“It became about us when you forged my signature.”

“I was protecting the company.”

“You purchased a house for your mistress.”

“It was an investment property.”

Delaney laughed bitterly.

“You told me we would live there after the divorce.”

Grant’s head snapped toward her.

She had said it loudly enough for every camera.

Rebecca handed me a second envelope.

My divorce petition.

I placed it in Grant’s hands.

“You wanted Bellamy Holdings to fund one final project.”

He looked down at the papers.
