MY HUSBAND TOOK HIS MISTRESS TO THE GALA AND LEFT ME WASHING DISHES

A humorless laugh escaped me.

“He intended to expose the affair to hide the theft.”

“He told me we were building a future.”

“You were building evidence against yourself.”

Delaney covered her face.

For several seconds, no one spoke.

Then she removed her hands.

“There is something else in the Bahamas project.”

“What?”

“It was never only about stealing money.”

Grant and Mavis had arranged a private acquisition agreement with Atlantic Crown Development, a company connected to Victor Holloway’s former partners.

Once the marina failed, Atlantic Crown would purchase the assets at a fraction of their value.

Bellamy Holdings would absorb the guaranteed debt.

Holloway executives would receive hidden ownership through offshore trusts.

The scheme would allow Grant to emerge after bankruptcy with wealth, property, and no responsibility for employee losses.

“But Atlantic Crown demanded proof Grant could control Bellamy funding,” Delaney said.

“What proof?”

She looked at me.
